Behind my free assessment sits a backend of my own: the Audit Desk. Every request comes in there as a case, with the step-by-step intake, the evidence, the opportunities and the report in one place. I built it myself, so that nothing gets lost between two systems on the way from first question to well-founded advice.

What I built
- A priority queue: invited, to review, approved and rejected, plus a list of what needs attention now.
- The full intake per case, step by step: starting point, the process, volume and time, exceptions and a baseline with source and measurement period.
- Evidence, opportunities and business case: recommendations only appear if the report supports them. Anything that has not been calculated is shown as “not in report”, not as an estimated number.
- Call mode: per case a client presentation and a separate facilitator view for the conversation.
- Reports and tasks: the status of every report, and operational tasks and errors from the connected sources.

Why I built it this way
Advice is only as good as the data beneath it. That is why the Desk shows what is known, what is missing and where a number comes from. An empty field stays empty, an estimate is called an estimate, and a recommendation without support does not go in. The same rule applies on this website: figures only appear when they have been measured.

What this means for your business
When you request the free assessment, your request runs through exactly this backend. That way you know the short advice report rests on your own figures and not on a template. I also build the same approach for clients: a portal or backend of your own where requests, files or orders can be followed from start to finish, connected to the systems you already have.

Under the hood
The Desk is a web application of my own in Node.js with Express. 47 API routes serve the queue, the intake, the reports and the admin side. The intake has 69 fields, and every field is checked against a fixed schema. That way no half-filled or mistyped value ends up in a report.
Access is per user, with signed tokens. There are 53 test files, and a new version only goes live when the full test suite is green and the proof of that is attached to the release.
Frequently asked questions about the Audit Desk
What is the Audit Desk?
The custom backend behind the free automation assessment from AIAgentCycle. Every request becomes a case there, with the step-by-step intake, the evidence, the opportunities and the report in one place, so that nothing gets lost between first question and advice.
Why a custom backend instead of an off-the-shelf package?
Because advice has to show where every number comes from. The Desk shows what is known, what is missing and what is estimated, and a recommendation without support does not go in. That called for a data model of its own with 69 validated fields.
Could a portal like this work for my business?
Yes. I build the same approach for clients: a portal or backend of your own where requests, files or orders can be followed from start to finish, connected to the systems you already have. In the free assessment we look at whether it fits.
